Wines of the World 2023

On Friday, June 9th, The Kid's Table was the grateful beneficiary of Wines of the World 2023, a premiere wine tasting experience hosted by the Detroit Wine Organization. We shared this honor with Miracle League of Plymouth, which does amazing things for kids with special needs.

What a night it was! Held at Northville Square for the first time, Wines of the World featured over 100 wines, beers, ciders, spirits and mixed drinks. And along with the excellent assortment of drinks, there was also a great mix of food tastings. We had steak and truffles from Flemings, sushi from Benihana, Italian sausage from Genitti’s, a taco bar from Border Cantina, an assortment of charcuterie skewers from Trader Joe’s, cake pops from Sweet Brew and Spice, Mediterranean appetizers from Lava Grille, chocolate chip cookies from Deadwood Bar and Grill, and tamales and Mexican appetizers from Honey Bee/La Colmena. It was more than we could have ever hoped for and every bit of it was delicious! The silent auction and wine walls gave attendees a chance to take something home with them.

The band, Quentin and the Casanovas, was fantastic and kept the music flowing. And the whole event was made more beautiful by the amazing centerpieces created for us by Adorn Fine Flowers.

But the best thing about the night was that so many people came out to support us and our

mission, while also having a great time with friends. We are so appreciative of those who

attended, those who volunteered, and the committee that made it all happen. It was a great

start to the summer!
